The 74th Miss South Carolina 2010 and Miss South Carolina Teen pageant got off to a flying start in front of a full house. The pageant night featured the contestants in the lifestyle and physical fitness competition, known also as the swim suit competition. Lindsay Michele Meyers was the clear winner in this category in her white swim suit. Out of the 41 contestants, 22 year old Desiree Puglia was crowned Miss South Carolina 2010 in front of a packed house. She will represent South California at the Miss America pageant to be held on 15th January 2011 at Las Vegas.
Hailing from Simpsonville, Miss Pendelton, Desiree Puglia was a double preliminary winner at the Talent and the Evening Gown. Along with the crown, Desiree gets a scholarship for $15000. The first runner up was 20 year old Miss Laurens County, Deja Fredrick of Lexington. She is also a double preliminary winner in Life style and Physical Fitness and Evening Gown. The second runners up was 21 year old Lindsay Michele Meyers, Miss Upstate of Greenville. She is also a double preliminary winner in Talent and Lifestyle in Fitness. The other two runners up include 23 year old Miss Darlington, Morgan Smoak and 19 year old Miss Columbia, Courtney Cisson.
